The Galician Transversal Railway was established at the end of the 19th century as a gigantic investment of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. The almost 800 km long line connecting Czadca with Husiatyn via Żywiec, Sucha Beskidzka, Nowy Sącz, Biecz, Jasło, Krosno, Sanok, Sambor and Stanisławów captivates to this day both because of the route through the mountains and foothills and because of the architecture of the railway stations characteristic of that era and its designers. The wealth of material included in the album will certainly surprise everyone! In total, about 900 illustrations have been collected, including station layouts, old documents, but above all photographs, most of which have never been published, there are also some that document the construction of the line at the end of the 19th century. The album is a part of the series THE MOST INTERESTING RAILWAY LINES IN POLAND.
