This volume provides an addendum, indices and a great deal of material originally prepared for volumes 1 and 2. New work includes an extensive essay on the construction of the Talyllyn Railway, an account of the Corris engineer who amalgamated he Falcon locomotives in the 1920s, and additional detail on many of the personalities involved. Continued research has turned up a number of 'new' newspaper reports. Finally there is significant additional coverage of Fletcher Jennings and the Lowca works.

Includes a great many previously unpublished photographs.
