This book tells the complete history of the first member of the Class 50 fleet – D400/ 50050 Fearless - from its construction in 1967 to the current day. First of the last is the story of one locomotive, told in the context of the life and times of the complete fleet of 50 Class 50s and is illustrated with a wide selection of high-quality images of the locomotive throughout its working and preserved career. There are also chapters devoted to the other preserved Class 50s, along with a chapter on namings and locomotives from the fleet which have been scrapped. This is the most comprehensive book released on the British Rail Class 50 locomotive for a number of years and is sure to be popular amongst followers of the class.
